Chris' uncle Kevin is a carpeter/cabinet maker. He graciously helped us build our kitchen cupboards. A lot of the prep work was done in Sydenham. |

Then Kevin and Chris' father Gary came down to Cape Breton for two weeks to help install the cupboards, do the insulation and drywall. |

This is a section of cupboard, aren't they fantastic? We still have to stain them and finish the counter top and kitchen floor but it was wonderful to have Kevin and Gary's expertise to help with this big job. |

Keep Working for our Dream!
Our plan is to move in to the house before the snow flies. So our next move is to complete under the house (the in-floor heating is already installed we now have to insulate and weather-proof the underside of the house). The we prime and paint the walls, install the toilet and sinks etc...lots left to do but as always we're having fun and learning alot doing it. |
